Many people struggle to bring their “whole selves” to the workplace. We are all bombarded by information on what good leadership should look like and all the things we should do to succeed. There are countless books and articles on the subject, and altogether, it can all leave one feeling overwhelmed and inadequate. We may internalize the belief that we need to change ourselves to fit into the workplace. While there is always room for growth, I believe there is also a place at work for you to be yourself. You can make what you have – work for you. I would like to share with you my personal journey of how I strive to be authentic at work in hopes it will help you think of ways you can be too!
