Hi, I’m Yikee (pronounced YEE-KEY). Lovely to “meet” you!

Over the years as I’ve risen higher up in senior leadership, I get asked the same question over and over again, “How do you do it all?” It’s not common to see someone like me—a first generation Chinese American, practicing Christian, devoted wife, and active mom of five—in the rooms I’m in. It dawned on me one day that there is a method and way that I approach the world, and I want to share it to help others. So, I wrote and published DIPLOMATICALLY: A Guide for Creating Work-life Balance in the Foreign Service (2024 Amazon bestseller and ranked #2 on BookAuthority) to help international professionals in any field to maneuver their careers while keeping their personal priorities intact. Since becoming certified as an Executive Coach, Master Facilitator, and Doula in 2023, I’ve helped aspiring and senior leaders get ahead on their terms, guided overwhelmed and understaffed teams to work more efficiently to achieve higher performance, and helped soon-to-be parents discover the many joys of the birthing process.

Starting in 2026, I offer an additional service, Parenting Coaching. I often find myself asking a question that I suspect many other parents are asking too, “How do I prepare my children for a future I can’t even predict?” With shifting global politics, rapid AI advancement, and economic whiplash…it’s tough out there. Taking lessons from my lived experience of constantly moving and raising five multicultural third-culture children across Africa and turning to my husband’s generational “tough love” wisdom and cultural practices from Benin (a little country in West Africa where he is from) I believe I have some answers to that question.
